Sadako and the 1,000 Cranes

Sadako Sasaki was a Japanese girl living in Hiroshima when the atomic bomb was dropped. She became ill and, while in the hosptial, she began folding paper cranes. We will learn why the cranes were important to Sadako then and how they are still important for our world today.
